The MasterPlus Pro is an effective training aid to help discourage your dog from engaging in inappropriate behaviours including excessive barking, aggression, chasing, stealing, jumping up, digging and recall issues, without using force or harsh punishment.
The collar holds a small spray unit which can be activated up to 300 meters away by the remote control. When the spray unit is activated, the unit releases a burst of spray under the dog’s chin which works to surprise and interrupt the dog from the behaviour it is currently engaged in. At this point, the dog will be more receptive to your command, and as soon as it responds accordingly, you can reward the dog with a favourite food treat, a game and/or lavish praise. In this way, the dog quickly learns that inappropriate behaviours are always interrupted, while responding to commands and engaging in more appropriate behaviours is very profitable.
One of the great advantages of the MasterPlus Pro is that the remote control is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and can easily be concealed in a pocket so that the dog never associates the spray interruption with the owner. This will make it more likely that the dog will refrain from bad behaviour when the owner is not present because the dog has no idea that the owner is in control of the spray – from the dog’s point of view, it simply comes out of the blue each time the dog does the ‘naughty’ behaviour.
Other benefits include the ability to interrupt a dog at distance, something that is virtually impossible to do otherwise. Many dogs respond well to their owners at close distances but it becomes increasingly difficult to stop chasing, thieving and running off the further away the dog is. The MasterPlus Pro enables owners to interrupt even these types of behaviours effectively.

Some Useful Information….
- Several types of sprays are available for use with the MasterPlus Pro. These include odourless, citronella and mustard. Citronella is usually more effective, particularly with stubborn dogs, than the odourless spray which is included in the kit. Mustard is less widely used, and in our opinion, citronella is equally effective.
- The remote control and collar unit each use different types of specialist batteries which you will probably not be able to purchase in most shops. The remote control batteries last quite a long time, but the collar unit batteries tend to run down more quickly. It is therefore advisable to have spares on hand so that you are not caught out.
