D.A.P. (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) to help dogs overcome fears and stress.
Contains 1 plug-in electric diffuser & 1x48ml pheromone vial
DAP is a clinically proven pheromone therapy to help alleviate feelings of fear and stress in dogs and puppies. Developed for owners by veterinarians, DAP is used heavily in behavioural therapy to help treat a wide variety of fear based problems including fear of loud noises, separation anxiety and fear based aggression. DAP is not a drug and has no side-effects so it can be used safely in a wide variety of situations. In any situation that you would like to help your dog feel more calm and safe, DAP can be used.
The DAP Plug-in Diffuser is designed for use in the home or any indoor area where the dog spends time. It is easy to use, simply plug it into a wall socket and leave it on. Each vial of pheromone lasts for 4 weeks and each diffuser covers an area of 60 square meters (500 square feet). You may need more than one depending on the size of your house and the areas that the dog has access to.
Uses:
Effective in treating fear related problems including separation anxiety, anti-social behaviour such as fear based aggression, and fear of noises such as fireworks and thunder.
Helps puppies and dogs being rehomed to settle into their new homes by reducing stress and anxiety - also great for dogs staying away from home.
Recommended for dogs suffering from epilepsy or seizures where stress needs to be minimised, particularly when medication is being reduced.
Helps to calm grieving dogs after the loss of a companion.
If you are using DAP because of a behavioural problem such as a noise phobia, separation anxiety or fear based aggression, we strongly recommend that you seek the advice of a qualified behaviourist as well. This is because the effects of DAP may be limited if you do not address the underlying cause of the dog's behaviour. Helping your dog to feel more calm and safe is only one part of any treatment programme. It is also necessary to improve your dog's perception of any fear inducing stimulus and to teach more appropriate responses, if permanent improvement is to be achieved.
